Saved search criteria and assigned notices
Application user guide
Find why an opportunity was assigned
- Choose Main Menu → Primary Searches → Just My Opportunities.
- In the SAM.gov opportunities list, find the notice and read its Search Criteria column alongside Subject.
- Select View Solicitation to read the notice. Return to the list to compare the matching words with the actual requirement.
- If the rule needs changing, give your administrator the notice link and the displayed criteria. For an immediate one-time search, return to Main Menu → Research All Open Solicitations and follow the search guide.
An account administrator maintains recurring solicitation criteria. Account users see matching notices in My Opportunities. A one-time solicitation search looks directly for notices and does not save a monitoring rule.
For account users: interpret a matched notice
In the SAM.gov part of My Opportunities, Search Criteria shows why a notice entered your queue. Use Subject, Agency, Office, State, dates and Set Aside to choose what to open first. View Solicitation opens the original notice for its full scope and current instructions. If the queue is empty, ask the account administrator to review the saved criteria.
Ask for a criteria review
If an assigned row is unrelated to your work, record its Search Criteria, Subject and notice link and ask your account administrator to review the monitoring rule. If a relevant opportunity is missing, give the administrator a concrete notice and the capability words or code you expected to match. A change to a recurring rule affects future assignments; it does not turn this page into an immediate public-notice search. Use Search for solicitations when you need to look directly.
There is no general Save Search button in this customer workflow. Ask the account administrator to change recurring criteria; use a one-time search for immediate research.
